简介
by Sean WestergaardArto Lindsay's third outing for Righteous Babe, Salt, continues with the Brazilian meets avant pop stylings he began in the mid-'90s. Fans of his work with DNA, the Golden Palominos, or John Zorn's Locus Solus project may be somewhat disappointed that he only plays guitar on two cuts, but the fact is that this is a decidedly different project. Switching between Portuguese and English, Lindsay's fragile voice has never sounded more melodic, and the Brazilian-influenced music is both accessible and interesting, with great beats and ear-candy details. The lyrics come off like sensual poetry, fitting perfectly with the lilting music, and in conjunction with the title allude to two things essential to human life: sex and salt. Good stuff.
