Robert Haimer. One half of the infamous comedy/novelty duo "BARNES AND BARNES". You know their immortal hit song "FISH HEADS". Robert is perhaps the best kept secret in the music business. He could have been the greatest pop singer-songwriter of the last generation, but he got sidetracked for 30 years with Barnes & Barnes. But finally, Robert has unleashed all of his quirky piano-based electronic pop demos on the world. The vaults are open and humanity can now discover his pure melodic genius. These demos were locked away for all these many years, but with the advent of Cd's and the digital medium, Robert has decided to release all of these gems. As the whim strikes, he sometimes sells small limited edition Cd's of his musical output, chronicled year by year, on Ebay. But now he is finally making "Best Of" compilations, for internet download sales only. (He may make them available on physical Cd's at some point also.) So treat yourself. Take a good listen. These songs have very catchy, yet quirky hooks. Oft times his "Barnesing" partner Bill Mumy helps out on guitar, bass, maybe some vocals,etc. And Bill also has co-written some of these tunes. Wow. Just think of what MIGHT have been had Robert not taken a wacky left turn with his Barnes & Barnes career! These may well have been chart topping songs, not just demos that only friends and family and publishers heard all these years ago. But now they're yours. Take care of these babies.
