简介
This multi-talented singer/songwriter performs to captivated listeners, who often describe him as being "an extremely talented individual, the finest that SD has to offer. He is just Pure Raw Talent! When performing with a musician like Rory, it allows an entertainer to stretch his/her own musical boundaries to a higher level and create music that is fresh and exciting to listen to." Rory Hoffman, a Lemmon, SD native discovered his musical talents at the age of four by creating his own musical playing style. Since his hands were too small to fit around the neck of the guitar, he laid it across his lap and has played it that way ever since. At the age of five he became Roland and the Believers' official drummer. Once his younger brother took up an interest in drums it was natural for Rory to move onto a new instrument. Since then, his horizons have expanded to where he now commands a stunning arsenal of over fourteen instruments. After attending college for two years and majoring in music, he decided that it was time to pursue his musical aspiration, and record a solo album. His first album "Blind Faith" was recorded in Nashville in the fall of 2000 and released December of 2001. It includes traditional hymns such as "Amazing Grace", "Just a Little Talk", and "Power in the Blood". "Fishin", Rory's second album, was released February 2003. This album features 11 songs with 6 co-written by Rory. They range from the spirited "Nashville Nights" that captures the excitement of the Nashville nightlife to the more self-reflecting "My Humble Prayer" that depicts the real meaning of having to be patient and understanding that success is not always instantaneous. This album has once again proved to be a learning experience and a lesson in overcoming obstacles and dealing with change. Along with the six albums that Rory recorded while with Roland and the Believers he has also appeared on various other albums. Whether it be playing, singing, or lending his producing talents, you can find him on the CDs titled Angel Hill, Agnus Dei "My Desire", Crystal Lutton "You Made a Difference", and Dawn Kinsman "True Presence".
