CRY was originally formed in 1984 by former Byrds members Gene Clark, John York and Pat Robinson , longtime songwriting collaborators, as an extension of The Byrds. The purpose was to perform the latest material written by Clark, Robinson & York. Nicky Hopkins joined shortly thereafter and CRY began recording the following original songs at Silvery Moon Recording Studios. These recordings performed by John York & Pat Robinson represent some of the last works of the late Gene Clark and Nicky Hopkins.
