简介
I started out in church as a gospel singer in three part harmony. This debut album release is a little about my life and my experience of 20 years in the US Army. I did a lot of marching in the army so, I had to write a song about it. "The Left Right Song" is a swamp boogie with cadence and what i think is a witty metaphor about marching and about being loved by your military spouse. The title track, "Sing Me Home Again" was written right after I came home from Iraq. My convoy was hit by IED's but I was one of the lucky ones and didn't get a scratch. It is a song about what happened to a lot of our service men and women. I am in no way trying to exploit my military service for profit, I just hope this song helps to ease the pain of combat. My Mom's letters helped me when she said, "son, this too shall pass". "Through It All" is about heartbreak. Hey, we've all been there. "I'm not trying to see thru ya, i'm just trying to see you through it all". "Melody" is a song about a song. It is a ballad about how songwriters have a song in their head and the only way to set it free is to record it. "Melody, you don't belong to me, you're trapped inside of me until I set you free, you're my melody." "Love Will Find a Way sorta goes back to my gospel roots. You could substitute God for love in this song and have the same meaning. i think God is Love. I hope this song helps someone who's heart has been broken. "Hey Lone Ranger" is my warning song. If you look at our economic situation, high unemployment, the housing market, etc, etc, you can see there is danger out there. I wrote this about my childhood heros but, if you look at how September 11th changed the way we live you will see there is evil here too. " Ragpicker" is my favorite Robert Osborne song. I wrote this after I read Og Mandino's book by the same name. I wrote "Easy to Love" on our 10th wedding anniversary. Well, we've been married 23 years and still going strong. The tracks, "Dance, Dance Dance", "Keep on Singing" and "Funnybone" were fun to record. I especially like the drum line on "Dance Dance Dance. "Keep On Singing" is what I plan to do. "Funnybone", there is no explanation for this song, sometimes ya just get the blues. It is blues with a little "Smoke on the Water". L2R is 4 minutes and 26 seconds of pure riding pleasure. Listen to this song behind the handlebars, going down the highway doing 65MPH. I hope you enjoy this album. Once you listen to it you will get a good understanding of the man who wrote it.
