简介
I retired from the Army in 2006. I wanted to write a song that shows some of the lighter side of my military experience. It's a reminder to me of all the marching and cadence calling I did while enlisted. The photo was taken of me in Desert Shield/Desert Storm back 1991. The song says I "joined the infantry". In reality I joined army aviation because i wanted to fly helicopters....My dad was drafted in WW2 and he did not want me to enlist but I did and he was proud of me for it... I did a little play on words with this but I'm sure you get the point. "I wannabe left right here in your arms tonight". Hee Hee... Some of this song is true except I didn't deploy to Afghanistan. I went to Desert Shield/Desert Storm and then in 2003 I deployed to Iraqi Freedom with the 101st Infantry Division. "I kissed that girl right on the lips in Clarksville, Tn" is a true statement. lol. Me and Doc had fun playing the lead guitar parts on this. My publisher/recording engineer said this should be a hit song. It has patriotic undertones and it will bring a smile to your face. :)
