*Official Website- http://www.jacefull.com* Jason Durrant, a resident of Bloomfield, CT began studying and playing the piano at the age of 9; receiving lessons at the Artist Collective located in Hartford, CT. During the span of 2 to 3 years Durrant was able to learn the basic theories within the genre of classical and jazz. Eventually, he held off playing the piano on a regular basis until he was re-introduced to the piano by pianist, Jim Brickman, at a local PBS T.V station in CT. Immediately, Durrant was drawn in by Brickman's playing because it intensified romance, love and peace; not quite classical and not quite new age, it had a sound of its own: Durrant was now in search of a sound! Jason Durrant started to develop a signature sound during his college years where he studied music with jazz director Peter Woodard at Harrt school of music, University of Hartford. Durrant concurrently received private lessons under the tutelage of classical pianist/organist, Paulette Barrett for ear training and Peter Woodard for creativity and jazz improvisation. Jazz pianist, Warren Byrd, also played a major role in young Durrant's musical development as they played together at the Salvation Army Church throughout his college years. Jason Durrant is credited as a contemporary jazz pianist/composer that has the ability to transform his musical skills to incorporate different styles such as jazz, neo-soul, gospel, spiritual hymns, new age, classical, reggae to mention a few. Durrant caters to variety of listening audiences when he plays at church, weddings, restaurants, gigs, etc. His style of playing is very creative. Mostly implementing jazz, neo soul, and gospel; however, he segues into romance within the album, Harmony Of Love. "Harmony Of Love" is Jason Durrant's sophomore album that is well requested and highly anticipated by many of Durrant's supporters. It is an album that gives reverence to the piano where love, romance and harmony is exalted. An album that captures a glimpse of Durrant's presence and demeanor: Harmonic, serene, tranquil and peaceful. With exceptions to the covers Hands Of Time, Dance With My Father and the classical domain of Canon In D; every other song is produced and written by Jason Durrant.
