In 1st grade he found an amazing object in his aunt’s house with black and white wooden fingers that made the most incredible sounds. Back home his parents didn’t own any kind of music player (records, tapes) so this was a first encounter. Knowing nothing of what to do, he just started pushing those piano keys to see what kind of sounds he could organize. First love. Leaving his Kansas home of organ-breathed hymns and High School choirs, he found a most appropriate place and stage leading his friends in songs at a campus ministry group.
