Jim Penfold , frontman and writer for the London cult band the Hollywood Killers, wrote and performed this song as the theme for Charley Boorman's 7 part TV series 'Race To Dakar' which also featured Ewan McGregor. Jim formed the Hollywood Killers in the late 70's and was Simon Fuller's (X Factor/Spice Girls etc) first promotion in Hastings. Jim and the Killers' second single 'Goodbye Suicide' was a favourite on the John Peel show on BBC Radio 1. In the eighties the band gained a large following on the live circuit and signed various records deals, including EMI Records, DJM Records, Creole Records amongst others. In 1982 they recorded Radio 1 In Concert at the Paris Theatre in Lower Regent St for the BBC. Jim has worked with many top producers including Tony Visconti (David Bowie/ T Rex) Muff Winwood (Dire Straits/Sparks) Mike Hurst (Cat Stevens) Mike Vernon (Fleetwood Mac/David Bowie) etc. Jim has recently written and produced an album for a new artist 'Lali Compton' a stunning 20 year old singer.
