简介
Robyn Ludwick did something that will forever imprint her career: She chose not to use her illustrious maiden name, Robison. She feared her music would be overshadowed by the wealth of family talent that came before her (older brothers Charlie and Bruce Robison and in-laws Kelly Willis and Dixie Chick Emily Robison). In time, Robyn's songwriting soon came to the forefront, earning her the “most formidable writers of the Robison’s” stamp by Lone Star Music Magazine. Robyn’s songs have been recorded by artists such as Holly Williams (Daughter to Hank Williams, Jr.), Wade Bowen, Kelly Willis, Bruce Robison and Charlie Robison. Ludwick’s writing came front and center when critically acclaimed Out of these Blues, produced by Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams), received numerous accolades including 2011 Top 10 Album honors from Austin City Limits, No Depression, Texas Music Magazine and 93.3 KGSR as well as Best Album of the year by the Texas Music Scene, No Depression’s Best Female Musicians and nominations for Best Female Vocalist and Best Singer-Songwriter-Folk at the Lone Star Music Awards. Ludwick’s 2014 Release Little Rain, produced by Gurf Morlix, crowned Robyn the “Queen of Modern Texas Country Soul” by No Depression and “The Best of Americana and The Best in Texas”. In 2016, you will see Robyn starring in Independent Film, Lost. Vegas. Hiway…directed by Jeff Mix and shot on location in Las Vegas. The film also features Hal Ketchum and Jack Ingram.
