简介
With tunes that grab you and won’t let go, this 18-year old singer songwriter has already garnered national acclaim, winning a Grammy Foundation contest last year with her song “Start Over.” Another original, “Where Did Love Go” was chosen for an independent film, and her arrangement of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” was the centerpiece in a holiday advertising campaign for the Greater Chicago Food Depository in 2012. Listen to her songs and you may be surprised to learn that some of them were written when she was only 13. With a voice that's clear, strong and emotionally honest, Hannah's music is strewn with passion, sorrow, confusion and confessions. Reflective and vulnerable, full of questions and longing, Hannah writes about subjects you’d probably expect from a teenage girl: loss and love, insecurity and fear, the struggles of growing up, but she does so with unexpected depth and truth-telling. She also writes songs you might not expect from one so young: cries of pain over the injustice and violence in our crazy messed up world. Sometimes compared to Birdy, Christina Perri, or a young Sarah McLachlan, Hannah is still uniquely her own person, with an indie pop/indie folk sensibility in her arrangements, and a musical sophistication well beyond her years. Currently a freshman at Belmont University in Nashville, Hannah is already a fresh, original talent, and only getting better every day.
