简介
BROKEN MAN (The Grit Of Rock) "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…" This is the rallying call of the Broken Man. He stands alone with honor and strength, attacked from all fronts to break down what is inside, and what he must be. The day to day struggle just to get up and face a world that doesn’t want him, and thinks it doesn’t need him. But yet he stands firm, never yielding, with allegiance to no one but himself. “In a world of no one,” and “suffering before the Lord,” he is the most unlikely of heroes. But a hero absolute, even though never regarded or respected as one. “Falling forward” into the next day and struggling to maintain that most precious of gifts, his sanity, in a world seemingly gone all but completely mad. He’s in the trenches; dirty, gritty, with only one end in sight. No vacation, no respite. Tired, frustrated, and ultimately pissed off, there is not an ounce of patience left in him for pretense or bull sh*t any longer. He is “Free” in ways that most people are not, and most people don’t like that. By his very freedom, he exposes their lies and their lack of courage to be themselves. So they smack their heads on his rock, only to leave blooded and bruised. The rock still stands. And there he grins at the sides as the masses run head-long toward the cliff edge. It is not his job to save the world, but to save his world and the real things of importance in it. And someday, he might get out of life alive. He is the Broken Man. But out of those pieces came something new…
