These songs were first written and demoed in our apartments during on and off spurts over the course of two years while living in Los Angeles. Some songs came quickly (e.g., Seventeen, Bagpipes), while others (e.g., Lost Without You) went through more than a dozen lyrical re-writes and musical revisions. From there the songs were practiced live at Brennan's, The Viper Room (acoustic lounge), and Dakota Lounge before they were then professionally recorded over the span of three months during late night sessions with producer Mikal Blue at the fabulous Revolver Recording Studios in Westlake Village. John wrote lyrics and provided his vocals, harmonies, 6-string acoustic guitar, harmonica and whistle. Brian wrote lyrics and provided his 12-string acoustic guitar, 6-string acoustic guitar, electric guitar, tambourine, backing vocal and scream. Mastering by the legendary Doug Sax from The Mastering Lab. Special thanks to Melissa, all of our friends and family, Dave the engineer, Stephen Riddle, Son Vo, Peter DiStefano and David Levita.
