"God's Got My Back" was inspired by an illness that left Karen laying on the floor, wondering if she would ever recover. In those moments, Karen was keenly aware of the spiritual battle she was in and her thoughts turned to Scriptures about the armor of God and resisting the Devil. But then fear set in and she wondered, "What if I don't apply God's Word properly? What if I don't put the armor on right?" The words, "The Devil may have my number but God's got my back" came to mind and the concept for the song was born. This song goes out to anyone facing a spiritual battle to encourage them that the outcome isn't entirely their responsibility; God's got our backs!
