Quentin Young recorded more than a dozen songs for "Negative Hundred and One," but only six made it to the album, which was destined to focus only on the good stuff. This is the EP followup to the sprawling "Passion of the loose cannon," and it shifts to a more direct approach. "Passion" had characters and a storyline. The songs of "Negative" are their own characters and storyline, and they run through the performance with confidence and purpose.

Young, a Denver-based producer and performer, has earned positive attention in local media for his solo work. He performs with Big Tell, an Amerecono band he started in 2014 with bassist Stacy Liles.
