In my search for classical music from Mexico, I was introduced to composer Domingo Lobato. I learned that he had composed many works, including symphonic, choral, chamber, religious, and those for solo piano. As a pianist, I was happy to learn this music existed, but saddened that it did so in obscurity. I subconsciously made it my mission to collect his music, perform it, and get it published. I fell in love with the music. I have the honor to call him my friend, well before his passing in 2012 (at the age of 92). I hope that this set of recordings will introduce the world to the music of this great composer.
