MTV Latin nomination for best independent band and two videos on MTV Latin top ten are a fresh start for this surprising project. Chucknorris recycles the cotidianity and explores ways through an arsenal of electronic toys. Without any pretense, this band emerges from the eclectic Venezuelan music scene, to offer a different option than every band member’s previous work. Then it was, when Breker MC former “Danza Mecanica” frontman and singer / guitar player Carlos E. Reyes ex “Claroscuro” joined forces to create a proyect that would be defining itself along the way. With their two mates, Dj Baffa (former Surcarabela) on the scratchs and the great drummer Tomás Mena “Le merm”, at the end of 2005, they release their first album “11 Cuentos” (11 storys). This work travels though myths, popular leyends and urban stories. With their first album, Chucknorris won many awards in its country, Venezuela. Best new artist, best album cover, best video with their single Taj Mahal and the nomination for the 2006 MTV Latin Awards as best independent band.
