Iain MacLeod has been playing the Guitar for over 20 years. One of the first CD’s he ever owned was a John Lee Hooker ‘Best Of..’ and in recent times he has been re-falling in love with the Blues and it’s off-shoots all over again. After hearing a Jack Rose album a couple of years ago he started learning some slide and country blues riffs and soon took these new tricks out busking in Hackney, East London. Through this he developed a repertoire of originals and covers. Further listening has taken in R.L. Burnside, Davy Graham, Elmore James, James Belfour and many more.

‘Phone Recordings’ is Iain MacLeod’s first effort as a solo player. The instrumentals you’ll hear on it were all made on a phone when rehearsing or busking. No over dubs, re-edits or hours of tweaking and mixing - it’s rough and ready just as the Blues should be. Now living in Edinburgh, he is looking forward to promoting his debut album around Scotland’s thriving Music scene.
