In many ways I'm amazed I managed to finish this. The last two years over which this was written have brought with them easily the biggest changes in my life. Predominantly moving away from home and beginning university life. The title reflects my feelings about the latter. I went through a really difficult patch in first year where I was really unsure of my choice to pursue Medicine as my career. It is definitely one of these degrees that requires total dedication which, at the time, I was very unsure I could offer that. My heart was, and probably always will be, set on music and that was the decision I faced; the sensible option of staying at university or taking a gamble and pursuing my dream. When all things were considered, not just the practicalities but the people I had met too, I opted to continue down the path of education. However, this episode was well over a year ago and hence it proved challenging to comeback to that to that frame of mind to finish this song as I now feel very settled. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to the song, to hear my story and to step into my musical world. The song means more to me than words can describe so it truly means a lot.
