The debut record by O Experimentar Na M'Incomoda is based on the Azorean folk masterpiece "O Cantar Na M'Incomoda" ("Singing doesn't bother me"). It also embraces other songs from the islands' songbook, bringing them to modern times while maintaining the link with their traditional roots. Just like the Azores have always been hosting sailors connecting the old and the new continent, these songs are built without any geographical or genre constraints, and are taken to a place where folklore, hip-hop, dub, indie-rock, Tom Zé and Animal Collective enter a constructive dialogue with each other.
