Thomas Goodlunas is a songwriter, musician and artist of power and conviction. Blazing his own musical path, he takes listeners on a journey through mood and illustrative landscapes that emanate from his electro-acoustic creations. Whether inspired by the tropical beauty of his home on the island of Maui or countless moons spent in the California Sierra or Colorado Rockies, Goodlunas’ music speaks to the heart and soul. One one hand it is intimate, intelligent, soulful, soaring and heart-centered. On the other, or when the muse shape-shifts, it can be gutsy, visceral and downright intense. Goodlunas’ live shows and recordings showcase his versatility as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who thrives on writing and interpreting songs across many genres from Americana, country-gospel-blues, piano ballads, and new-age-jazz. His vocals meld and harmonize with extraordinary playing on keyboards, guitar and the violin. From humble beginnings on guitar and bass, Goodlunas discovered the violin and entered the music program at the University of Northern Colorado. Along with traditional composition he discovered rich veins of expression in the Colorado music scene that overflowed with folk, jazz, bluegrass and indie rock contributing to the unique diversity of style he holds today. Fast forward and further west Goodlunas dove into the creative pool of artists at Exit Records in Sacramento where he released his first album with the band Panacea, distributed by Word/Island Records. As creative evolution would have it Goodlunas founded independent music label, Range Of Light, based near Lake Tahoe, releasing six original instrumental albums and toured the national art festival scene bringing his music to listeners across the country.
