Blue Companion is Madeleine's third CD and first since the release of True Heart in 1996. Madeleine and her co-producers Lonnie Knight and Richard Grossman took great care on this project to insure that the arrangements honored the intimate lyrics and haunting melodies contained in these 12 original songs. Knight co-wrote two of the tracks and his signature acoustic, electric and bass guitar are tastefully infused throughout the project.

Blue Companion features outstanding guest performances by Michael Johnson (Bluer Than Blue), Peter Ostroushko, Jim Anton, Michelle Kinney, Kenni Holmen, Bruce Kurnow, Giorge Pettus, Michael Nelson (Horn Heads), Jimmy Steffen, Holly Circle, Marc Anderson, Reid Papke and Greg Fleming-Wolfe.
