简介
This is the digitally remastered version of the self-titled, Madeleine Hart, the artist's first solo release. This collection of songs reflects an intense period of collaboration for Madeleine. It also represents a period of time when she was actively involved in the Nashville scene. At that time, Madeleine and her husband/producer Richard Grossman were commuting between their studio in Minneapolis and Music Row in Nashville, eventually securing a publishing admin deal with Copyright Management Inc. (CMI). Around that time, while touring in Minneapolis, Gene Simmons of KISS, upon hearing Madeleine sing in the hotel where he was staying, told her he thought she was the next Emmylou Harris. While certainly interesting and flattering, especially considering the source, Madeleine had already begun what would eventually become a 5-year, weekly songwriting collaboration with her husband and MCA recording artist, Giorge Pettus. This writing partnership infused new stylistic elements of rhythm and blues, spawning an evolution in her songwriting and musical tastes as evidenced by her second CD, "True Heart".
