简介
Valerio Salzano is a psychologist, but has played piano for years as a soloist and in ensembles, a bit as a professional but above all as an outlet for expression. He affirms, "Joy, like pain, are not useless emotions, they help us to comprehend and to speak." The first notes are almost barely touched. The harmonies are what you expect, exactly the ones you want to unfold, like the sense of security a child needs when beginning his path in life. And it was for a child, his first son Simone, that Valerio Salzano composed this brief ballad. To tell of the discovery, the emotion that can be expressed neither through word nor reason, but only feeling. 'Simone' blossoms like a little flower, fragile and delicate. But as real life delivers parallel paths of joy and anguish, dynamic enthusiasm and the fear of incertainty, they are gathered together as twin dichotomies and separated only by a thin and subtle barrier. Wonder is predominant in the cascade of harmonies that looms about, and this wonder magically comes out again and again and recalls its path in reverse. It is a piece that completes a circle, much like life, and after hearing the last note, again exactly as in life, you wish that it would never end.
