Soldiers was used in the 2017 Red Shield Appeal for QLD and Northern NSW which the artist Candice Dianna was also ambassador for. The song Soldiers reaches out to those feeling lost and encourages them to feel equal and Soldier on through the hard times. Somewhat compared to artists Alicia Keys and Adele, Candice's voice is quite powerful and emotion evoking for audiences, accompanying herself on piano most of her songs are powerful ballads. This particular track however, travels slightly more toward artist Missy Higgins in it's style. The final song, a cover of Emeli Sande's 'Read all about it' was used in the official launch for the song Soldiers where her life as an entertainer was the journey for the audience, and the song read all about it was used in the show's production to emphasise her desire to sing.
