Jesus Risen was written to express the exultant joy that Jesus's original followers must have experienced when seeing their Master alive from the grave. What better style of music to express that joy than a Celtic fiddle melody and the rhythmic flow of the bodhran (Irish drum)! The lyrics not only call attention to the joy but also to the sacrifices Jesus made to bring the peace of God to all who would embrace him. The song also invites the listener to participate in this life changing message: "...so lay your life on the line just as he did, and celebrate that Jesus lives."
