简介
Peaceful Panther music can be categorized as Electronic Music Composition but that term does not give the full scope of the depth and artistry of the music. Listen to the music! Repetitive loops of techno beat are not what you will find here. Instead what you will find are carefully placed notes in an evolving soundscape that is as fluid as the ocean. Each instrument is orchestrated as if every note being played was important in its own right. Every musical phrase adds to the interest of the character of the song. The beauty of good instrumental music is that distracting words are removed and your own thoughts and words become the lyrics… making each song your own. Each song is a story waiting to be discovered. Each song will reach into each listener as if it was being played exclusively for you. Each song will be the musical of you. Instead of using effects to create a synthetic wall of sound, the instruments are perfected to a timbre and tone that will challenge any ear to determine which sounds are acoustic and which sounds are synthesized. Musical lines sound as if they are live because they were recorded live. Listen to the music and you will hear rich orchestrations. Listen to the music and you will hear the soundtrack of your life experiences. Listen to the music! "Tokyo Train" Based upon an experience in Tokyo, Japan... In every day life astounding things can happen even in the most ordinary of settings. By chance a random event will change your life… like accidentally getting onto the wrong train that unexpectedly takes you to your ultimate destination. Within the composition you will hear the sound of trains running along the tracks. The consistent and precise timing of all the instrumentation was added to convey the perfect timing of the train systems. You will hear the sound of passengers getting on and off the train. At one point you will hear piano phrases conveying the toppling of suitcases and baggage by hurried passengers during a station stop. At various points in the piece you will hear a chime melody. In Tokyo each train station has its' own chime melody that plays periodically in the open air so that passengers can tell where they are by the melody that is playing. I've added my own chime melody at various points throughout the piece, but you will hear it very clearly at the end of the piece when it's time to get off the train. “Waves of Connection” A soundscape to a tragic story that we all experience… This song was written in a neo-classical style. It features a contrast between acoustic and electric violin timbres. The vision for this piece is for the driving force behind a dramatic theatrical production... where two avant garde violinists are the principle characters dueling amongst other instrumental characters acting out the tragedy and hope of life. "Magical Creatures" Magic is all around us and those that can see it have opened their eyes to the mysterious and wonderful things happening all around us. This piece is simply written as a piano solo for the musician who truly loves playing and has fun at the keyboard. "Ghosts in the Attic" The discovery of an untold story – in finding old photographs from another time - of musicians playing their instruments. Looking into the eyes of the players… a connection to when they were like you. Hearing the distant melodies and harmonies from a time past… brought into your reality as if a century was only yesterday. Ghosts in the attic… playing on the old dusty instruments that Grampa left behind. The hint of an interesting story in the subtle change in the melodic line… and you standing there, are not even a hint of reality for that musician who looks so familiar. "Lost in North Carolina" A perfect place to be… A lifetime of memories… that fades like the morning mist. May the sun set before I forget the beautiful way the ocean meets the shore – where two people, inseparable and in love, made their mark in the sand… right there where the waves have smoothed the way. "The Ice Angel and the Rocker" A composition for ice skaters "Stella di Natale" (Star of Christmas) The story of the three kings who followed the star… although they were told to return to their lands using another way, it was already true that they could not go back the same way. "Royal Street Racket" Inspired by a group of street musicians in New Orleans... they picked up their instruments and together they could play!
