I was born in Kyoto, Japan, the cultural capital there in 1951. I am descendant on my mother's side from the Satsuma Daimyo Clan or also known as the Shimazu Daimyos which began in 1173 A.D. A daimyo is to Japan what a lord is to England. However, I have lived most of my life in America although below the poverty limit. Yet, I have had the opportunity to visit most of the major continents. Please enjoy the experiences of my lifetime that come out in my music. They say I have a "natural gift" because I do not know how to read notes and I am beset with schizophrenia, bipolar, Sugar Diabetes Type 2 and high blood pressure. The only way I can compose my songs and instrumentals without having gone to a single music class must be because God loves me....and my close friend, Jeanne "Piggy" Kuboyama, who saved my life. She introduced me to the world of music and engendered in me an inspiration to continue onward with encouragement. Please listen to my songs.
