Our Biography THE TRUE BROTHERS Jacky and Roger are two brothers who were born in Greensboro, North Carolina, during the turbulent times of the 60s. When the two brothers began their careers they were know as True & True {fashioned after the television show Simon & Simon}. In the early 90s the two brothers started making waves in the local music marketplace. In 1994, True & True changed their name to the True Brothers. LATER ON IN THE 90\'S BOTH OF THE BOYS APPEARED ON STAGE AT THE INTERNATIONAL FAN CLUB ORGANIZATION(IFCO) IN NASHVILLE. THERE THEY WERE ALSO ASKED TO CONTRIBUTE SOME RECIPES TO THE IFCO COUNTRY MUSIC COOKBOOK. THEIR NAMES AT THE TIME \'RODE IN HIGH COTTON\' WITH OTHER CONTRIUTORS SUCH AS GEORGE STRAIT,GEORGE JONES AND ALAN JACKSON TO NAME A FEW. BOTH ROGER AND JACKY PLAYED A STARRING ROLE IN A COUNTRY STYLE FEATURE FILM ENTITLED,\'THE DAM\', WITH THE GROUP SOUTHERN CULTURE RECORDING THE SOUND TRACK. FOLLOWING THE MOVIE, THE BROTHERS WENT ON TO SIGN WITH THUNDERBOLT RECORDS.SINCE 1999 THEY HAVE RECORDED SIX ALBUMS FOR THAT LABEL. IN THEIR THIRD ALBUM, THEY PRODUCED THE FIRST TRIBUTE TO WEBB PIERCE.A NUMBER OF OTHER TRIBUTES FEATURING COUNTRY MUSIC STARS WERE MADE IN BEHALF OF PIERCE.ONE OF THE GREAT NAMES FEATURED WAS GAIL DAVIES. ANOTHER ALBUM \'THE THIRD MAN\', A GOSPEL AND BLUES VINYL CAUGHT THE EYES OF A NUMBER OF NATIONAL MUSIC PUBLICATIONS SUCH AS: BLUEGRASS UNLIMTED\',POWER SOURCE\', COUNTRY MUSIC,\'PEOPLE\' AND \'COUNTRY STANDARD TIME, A GRAND OLE OPRY STAR COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAMER, CHARLIE LOUVIN OF THE LOUVIN BROS,WROTE THE LINER NOTES. ROGER AND JACKY CONTINUED TO PAY TRIBUTE TO SOME OF THE COUNTRY GREATS ON THEIR NEXT ALBUM,ENTITLED \'COUNTRY GOLD\'. THE ALBUM FEATURED SUCHHITS AS WEBB PIERCES\'HONKEY TONK SONG\', ERNEST TUBBS \'THANKS A LOT \' AND A NUMBER OF OTHER GREAT COUNTRY CLASSICS. DAVID MCCORMICK, WHO IS THE OWNER OF THE ERNEST TUBB RECORD SHOPS,WROTE THE LINER OF THAT ALBUM.SPEAKING OF ERNEST TUBB.ROGER AND JACKY APPEARED ON HIS NATIONAL MIDNIGHT JAMBOREE SHOW IN APRIL OF 2002.THE OPRY STAGE BAND,INCLUDING LEGENDARY JIMMY CAPPS AND BILLY LINNEMAN WERE THEIR BACK-UP GROUP. THEN CAME A NEW ERA IN MUSICAL RECORDINGS. THE TRUE BROTHERS FIRST ALBUM TO BE RECORDED ON A CD WAS \'HYMNS AND OTHER SONGS WE WROTE OURSELVES\'. ALL OF THE SONGS WERE ORIGINAL ON THIS CD.ONE IN PARTICULAR,\'THERE\'S A GATE\' REACHED 24 ON THE BLUEGRASS CHARTS ACCORDING TO \'POWER SOURCE\' A PUBLICATION OF THE CHRISTIAN MUSIC ASSOCIATION(CCMA). THE CD ALSO CONTAINED TWO SONGS WRITTEN BY JACKY. REFLECTING FAMOUS NOVELS BY OSCAR WILDE AND ROBERT LEWIS STEVENSON.THEY ARE \'THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY\' AND \'JEKYLL OL\'JEKYLL\'. HAVING PREVIOUSLY PAID HOMAGE TO THE WILBURN BROTHERS ON THE \'GOLD HITS\' ALBUM,THE TWO WAS INVITED TO HENDERSON,TENNESSEE IN 2005 TP PARTICIPATE IN A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE NOW DECEASED WILBURN\'S.HANK SNOWS FORMER BAND.THE RAINBOW RACH BOYS PLAYED AS THE BACK-UP GROUP FOR THE TRUE\'S. THERE,THEY PERFORMED A NUMBER OF WILBURN BROTHERS HITS SUCH AS:\'TROUBLE\'S BACK IN TOWN\',\'GOODY,GOODY,GUNDROP\'AND\'HURT HER ONLY FOR ME\'. AFTER SOME TIME AWAY FROM THE STUDIOS,THE TRUES\'S CAME BACK WITH A NEW IMAGE.IT WAS THE\'OUTLAW\'......LONGER HAIR AND A WESTURN GRUNGE COWBOY LOOK. ALONG WITH NEW LOOK CAME A NEW CD,WANTED\'. THE \'WANTED CD SALUTED THE SO-CALLED\'OUTLAWS\'OF COUNTRY MUSIC. JACKY TRUE WROTE ONE OF FEATRUED TUNES. THE BALANCE OF THE ALBUM PAID HOMAGE TO A NUMBER OF THE PAST COUNTRY MUSIC \'OUTLAWS\' INCLUDING ONE EACH FROM JOHNNY PAYCHECK,BOBBY BARE,DAVID ALLAN COE WAYLAN JENNINGS AND WILLIE NELSON. ROGER also SALUTES SUPERSTAR,BILLY \'CRASH\' CRADDOCK WHO RESIDE IN THE GREENSBORO AREA WITH A RENDITION OF HIS HIT,\'RUB IT IN\'. ROGER CANNOT EXACTLY BE CONSIDERED AN \'OUTLAW\',BUT CLAIMS TO BE AN ENTERTAINER WHO PORTRAYS THE IMAGE OF A \'PRETTY BOY\' WITH ROUGH AND JAGGED EDGE.
