Chris Ambrosino and Jim Gordon possess a compatibility usually saved for life partners and is rarely found in artistic or otherwise business partnerships. Yet from a joined outlook on art, music, taste, and life in general, Blue Ribbon has been born. Both multi-instrumentalists and writers have entrusted each other with their creative selves to release their debut recorded work titled “LUST”- A self-produced journey through what the title implies, yet not the obvious path. It's more of an exploration of what it is we lust for and whether it is actually an unforgivable sin or a forgivable emotion. The lust for love and happiness, then the release of the aforementioned is explored in this 7 song work that begins with the jubilant “Don’t EFF Me” and finishes with the ethereal “LUXURIA” instrumental closing. Gordon and Ambrosino experiment with instrumentation and production giving nods to the musical time periods of their lives without being unapproachably experimental. While listening to “LUST” if you for instance hear an antique pump organ, its an antique pump organ being played without cliché’.
