Matura has studied sitar with Sitarist Josh Feinberg, a disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Sitarist Paul Livingstone, a disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar and Sarodist Anindya, Banerjee, as well as being deeply influenced by Sitarist Indrajit Banerjee. He has appeared numerous times on radio, and recorded several albums in diverse genres and shared stages with many artists and bands over the years such as Deva Priyo & Gypsy Moon, Al Torre, Freedom, Fantuzzi, Alice DiMicele, Ashwin Batish, Jaya Lakshmi & Ananda Ji, Shanti Shivani, Ankush Vimawala, I Chelle & the Circle of Light, master musician Jeff Pevar, Fannah Fi Allah and The Human Revolution.
