Ata was mentored by many of Hawaii's greatest traditional artists. Pa`ina presents a tour-de-force of classic and original songs that showcase his many talents with an ease and spirit that echo the generations from which it comes. Ata's love and respect for the music shine throughout. When embarking on this recording project, Ata declared that this was the music he dined on, thus naming the cd "Pa`ina" (feast). Listeners have been feasting since its release in 2002.
