In Brief: The Term “Black Friday” originated was coined by the Philadelphia Police Department in reference to aggressive consumers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping) BFDC are a Noise Rock band with its feet firmly planted on the ground with roots in the in punk and hardcore communities. The songs are secretly positive. The target audience of BFDC is disaffected angry dudes with faded black t-shirts and protruding Adam’s Apples approaching 30 but we have also found a general appeal to anyone who spends time at loud V.F.W. shows. The band, Black Friday Death Count was formed on Black Friday 2013 as a side project of Sam Pinola and Alex Millard of Ghosts in the Valley on bass and drums. The initial plan was to recruit local guitar talent, TJ Schilling from Carved-Up and Justin Jones from The Mahlors, to fill in the gaps and record 2 songs. Well this quickly turned into a live band and the full time project. (If you lived around here you might even call this a super group but since you probably don’t let’s just say that they are all really good dudes. From great local bands.) We are based out of a barn between the Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. We cover most areas in-between as well.
