Luis Angulo´s diverse musical influences are portrayed here through his experimental loop improvisations.Using guitar synths,effect proccessors and real time looping devices,he is able to paint a broad musical canvas taking you to an unexpected musical journey. This first release "Primeros Ciclos" is a combination of sonic experimentation and live improvisation all done with an electric guitar. The first track "comienzo" is a drone followed by a celtic like reed flute guitar synthesizer solo syncronized to a preprogramed drum box 6/8 african rhythm. The following track "Nataraja dance" is a hypnotic backward guitar loop backed by an indian tabla pattern synced again to a dance groove,sounding like a dancing boa snake. The dreamy live track "Wasserfall" is a guitar piece with simple layers of canon notes accompanied with a dreamy melody. "Cajita de musica" is an improvised evolving composition recorded live in Italy.This piece specially demonstrates what a single guitar can do layering synthesizers and guitar sounds put into a repeating loop.Listening to pieces like this it is hard to tell that there is only one person with one guitar creating such a wall of sound.
