This was recorded in 1999 and still sounds great. Good for energy body working, yoga, meditation and dancing. Exotic percussion with unique grooves was inspired by all the drumming groups I was teaching around the country. The last two songs, "Let the Goddess Dance", and "Spirits Around You" were written as New Age anthems; ideal for firedance ceremony and ritual. Engineer was Steve Sanzo an award winning producer. This is very gentle drumming music with a lyrical feel creating a safe space. This is good to put children and adults to sleep with. It relieves stress and creates a healing environment. It has been used for birthing by drumming midwives and in medical operating surgical rooms as well as Yoga studios including Yoga Works in LA. This is a full sound that is not overbearing. The drums are melodic because of my classical musical training but it also has the swinging grooves because of my experience with rhythm n blues and jazz. Overall a pleasing experience to listen to and move to!
