Founded in 2013, BirdyHop comprises 2 London-based singer/songwriting brothers. Chris & James Goldsmith's early bedroom jamming sessions naturally progressed into more formal songwriting and performance. They have already played at iconic venues across London such as the Half Moon in Putney, Hope & Anchor in Islington and Vaults at Waterloo. Early in 2014, BirdyHop won Curzon Cinema's songwriting competition and performed at their cinema in Soho to promote the new Coen brothers film 'Inside Llewyn Davis'. The 2 brothers then went on to play festivals throughout summer 2014 to audiences throughout London and the South-East.

The music is a striking combination of influences. It's acoustic but different. Closely developed harmonies set against well-crafted rock arrangements and sometimes blended with more melancholic, stripped down instrumentation. BirdyHop’s first EP is the culmination of a year of writing, performing and living room jamming. It is a collection of the music that characterises their songwriting and reflects the simple, intimate spirit of their home-made production process. It is the result of days spent growing up together and about their experiences along the way.
