Born in Mississippi and raised in small town Louisiana, Sammy was eight years old when he started formal piano lessons; however, his innate talent for piano with a creative bent led him to a decision to move away from classical training. He began playing his original songs at coffee shops and clubs in Louisiana in 1999, and released his commercial debut 'Reality' in 2005 in conjunction with Big Noise. Sammy relocated to New York to further his music career in 2010, and joined forces again with Big Noise in 2012 for his sophomore release 'Reality Sets In.'
