Born on the same day as the Three Mile Island explosion, Bryan Francisco grew up in Los Angeles, the eldest of five children. After dabbling in various fields of employment (mechanic, janitor, bartender), he and his new bride headed north to Seattle, where he soon found himself working in the family dirt hauling business, but the song of his heart would remain silent no more. Upon relocating to Seattle, Bryan began playing casually with Keith Lovik (Hollywood Lightweights and Las Great Fire) to find his own voice, and with the encouragement of Ben Sutter (Honest Engines) and Isaac Perice (Ten-Speed) he began playing open mic nights at Conor Byrne Pub. After crafting several of his own tunes, he decided to start working on a record of his own, under the pseudonym Locomotives. Produced by Cameron Elliott (Battle Hymns, Mongrel Blood and No Grave), Moving Machines is the debut album from this talented singer/songwriter. Cameron and Bryan brought in players from The Last Great Fire (Keith Lovik, Xochill Squaglia, Brian Sharp and Tracy Hagen), as well as old friend Ben Sutter, for the creation of Moving Machines. John McCaig from Panic Studios (Telekinesis, The Long Winters, United States of Electronic, T.W. Walsh) joined in to master the record. With the help of these friends and fellow musicians, Bryan Francisco’s vision has been realized- and Locomotives has roared to life.
