Farmer Jason is the brainchild of Americana legend Jason Ringenberg of Jason and the Scorchers. He created Farmer Jason as a vehicle to entertain his own young family in 2002. The character took hold and launched Farmer Jason around the world, earning him 4 Emmy nominations and one Emmy win. Rockin' in the Forest is the second Farmer Jason release. It earned a Parents Choice Gold Award. Containing the cult hit "Punk Rock Skunk", it is arguably Farmer Jason's finest work. The songs are about the forest while motivating young kids to appreciate nature.
