This CD explores the relationship between a Cornish-American and Cornwall, the homeland. The songs are funny, angry, wistful, melancholy and sentimental, sometimes all at once. Some of the songs result from visits to Cornwall with observations and comments on what was heard and seen. Some reflect the soul-level feelings of a descendant of immigrants for the old country. Some reflect hope and belief that Cornwall will someday regain its rightful status as a nation. Some songs reflect connections on a personal and cultural level to people and places in Cornwall.
