After a performance at Michael’s at Park Central in May, Gabriel Bey, the leader of Spooky Kool’ set out to write about the wonderfully warm experience they had during their presentation at the renowned Phoenix Night Club. He created a new song entitled, “Down at Michael’s.” With a Lee Morgan inspired melody and Soulful groove, Spooky Kool performed the song for the first time in front of a LIVE Michael’s audience, and he recorded and videotaped the experience. An unbelievable sound and undeniable acceptance was captured and he was encouraged to release the music captured as an EP. The recording is only 23-minutes of music, but it is thoroughly enjoyable and you will want to listen to the music over and over as though you were there.
