The MDz Biography Jalani Daishaun Wilson (born August 11, 1990), better known for his stage name The MDz and Multi Dimensionz, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, pro athlete, and actor from Victorville, California. Jalani was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother and step-father raised him and 3 other siblings. Jalani lived in over 10 cities while growing up in Southern California. He attended the local schools in the area. His rebel mentality often landed him in detention with a handful of suspensions. In his early teenage years Jalani joined the All American Football team for the city. He earned his respect on the field and even made the All Star Team in his league. Football seemed like the only thing that could keep him out of trouble. When he wasn't on the field, Jalani was writing lyrics and making beats on his Play station thanks to the heavy influence his big brother had in his life who was also a rapper and was considered one of the best lyricists in The High Desert. As a result, Jalani and three of his classmates formed a rap group and started recording their own songs on a karaoke tape machine. Soon after that, Jalani was expelled from school & put on probation. Later, the school district let him come back and he attended Hesperia High School. He joined his High School football team and they was on the road to a undefeated winning streak. But before he could finish the season, Jalani was expelled once again. He was sent to a school he calls "Probation High" because the schools location was at the probation office in Victorville and all of the students there were in and out of juvenile hall. Jalani continued to make music and was able to upgrade to a home studio. He learn to mix and engineer songs on his own. Jalani and his group sold their CD's in the streets of the Inland Empire. They did live performances as their local buzz continued to build. Sometime after that, Jalani violated his probation again. On the day he went to see the judge, Jalani was handcuffed in the courtroom and sent to serve time in juvenile hall. The juvenile detention center allowed him to use a electric piano on his free time. Jalani then made beats on it and wrote lyrics which he recited to his cell mate to kill time. When he was released, Jalani went back to the same life he always knew. Despite the countless run ins with the law and street conflicts, Jalani made music a big part of his life. By the age of 19, he produced/engineered 10 albums and mix tapes. Plus, he collaborated with over 50 artists from the underground scene establishing himself as the go-to-guy when it came to hot beats and features. Jalani and his group started doing shows with bigger names like Bone Thugs, Sugar Free, E-40, Mack 10, Glasses Malone and more but before he could hit stardom Jalani chose a different direction in his life. He took himself out of the music scene leaving everything behind him. In 2009 Jalani dedicated his life to professional fighting training in mixed martial arts. He trained by himself in Victorville. To get sparing in, Jalani would go to the local gyms and call out fighters to spar in the ring against him. Quickly earning the respect of the gym members and staff, his natural in ring ability caught the attention of a local coach who trained and managed professional boxers. After a year or training with his new boxing club, in 2011 Jalani made his professional debut at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas on Showtime Boxing. To get to the next level, Jalani moved to Los Angeles with intensions to train at Manny Pacquiao's gym, The Wild Card, which was located in Hollywood, CA. Jalani didn't know anyone in Los Angeles and when times got hard he found himself bouncing from hotel to motel and even living in a shelter on Skid Row. After some time, Jalani finally found a good paying job and was able to get stability. He was ready to get the show back on the road but soon after that, while exercising at a fitness gym, Jalani broke his ankle and once again had a setback that would take time to recover from. During the recovery, Jalani decided to go back to his first love, music. By this time, he had a whole new outlook on life and even changed his stage name. He looked back in time he felt like he shouldn't have labeled himself with the names he had. He felt like he type casted himself. He decided he no longer wanted to label himself as one specific persona again. In a interview he said, "Even my government name Jalani Wilson wasn't the way to go. There is so much to my personality. There's so many aspects to who I am. Knowledge & new experiences expands your perception. This is the freedom to do the unexpected. If I allowed one word to describe me, it would be Multi Dimensionz". - The MDz Jalani started working on his most controversial album titled "Time Capsule". He independently released the album and made it free to download for everyone. Jaw dropping songs from that album were played on podcasts and radio stations. Now as a solo artist, Jalani was back making an impact in the music business and in 2015, he signed to one of the hottest upcoming record labels located in Southern California "One Shot Deal Records, LLC".
