简介
After years of playing in rock and country bands, singer-songwriter Ted Sink began recording original music with multi-instrumentalist and engineer Andy Happel in 2000. His fifth CD of 10 originals and one cover (aptly named no.5) was recorded between 2012 and 2015 which included a 15 month interruption due to a bicycle accident. Seven of the songs were recorded by the full band at The Studio in Portland, ME on two Sundays in 2013, and the remaining four were built a track at a time in Andy's studio in Scarborough, ME. Ted's default setting is jazz harmony. It's easy to hear the influence of Steely Dan, Jobim, Mose Alison and Bob Marley in his compositions--even those that lean into folk and country. Credits: Ted Sink on rhythm guitar, lead and harmony vocals and compositions. Kent Allyn on bass, keys and guitar. Andy Happel on violin, cello and synth drums. Robby Coffin on lead guitar throughout, and lead vocal on Dumpster Love. Sean Daniels on drums. (Jim Rioux, drums on Don’t Fall In Love.) Bruce Derr on pedal steel. Tim Sink on flute. Additional credits to Devon Colella, cello on Refugee; Carri Coltrane, harmonies on Don’t Fall in Love; Tom Whitehead, accordion on Don’t Fall In Love, and Portsmouth (NH) Symphony brass on Please. Kent Allyn co-composed Complicated; Alex Sink composed the Spanish lyric for Mi Corazon, Mi Amor, and Kate Harfe added lead vocal. Editing, mixing, and arranging by co-producer Andy Happel. Mastering by Maximillian Sink, Boston, MA. Reproduction by Crooked Cove.
