"《踢霹欧爵士大乐团》 成立于2020年5月的踢霹欧爵士大乐团，是由一群致力将复古美国爵士精神带进二十一世纪的国际专业乐手们所组成。 最初专注于演出《美国早期歌曲录》的作品，但随着乐团的演化和扩张，踢霹欧现在已经具备各种不同的编制，演出曲目和风格也扩大涵盖到拉丁、当代R&B、流行乐曲，甚至原创作品。 创始人与指挥高杰 (Jim Geddes) 创办踢霹欧的初衷是希望能增进音乐与人类互动的体验跟连结，而在这个过程中也不断带领团员们在各方面持续地进步。 Stan Kenton （1911-1979 爵士钢琴家、大乐团指挥、作曲家）曾经说过：「一个大乐团是一群音乐家，因为对于某种音乐有信念而聚集在一起 [...] 大家为了共同的目标和理想而演奏，而并非着重在表现个人的音乐成就上。」 这就是踢霹欧的我们最希望能达成的：汇集一个具备国际水平的乐团并为所有人带来最棒的表演、最棒的声响、最棒的体验。 《TPO Big Band》 Created in May 2020, TPO is an international group of professional musicians that brings the spirit and sound of vintage American jazz into 21st century Taipei. TPO was originally created as a 20-piece big band presenting music from the Early American Songbook. While the band still performs in its original state, it has also evolved and expanded into various ensembles with an even wider repertoire ranging from Latin to contemporary R&B and Pop as well as original compositions. The band, founded and directed by Jim Geddes, was created with the hopes of evolving the relationship between music and the human experience, and - in the process - has become a continuous pursuit of betterment. WoodyN’ You Composed by Dizzy Gillespie - Arranged by Andy Jaffe Soloists: Damiano Niccioli - 萨克, 王于维 Michael Wang - 长号, Cody Byassee - 爵士鼓Conducted by Andy Jaffe “Woody 'n' You"", also known as ""Algo bueno"", is a 1942 jazz standard written by Dizzy Gillespie, dedicated to and arranged for Woody Herman’s band. It was not recorded until 1944, by Coleman Hawkins, with an all-star band of first generation bebop pioneers, including the great Max Roach on drums. It was originally played by Zy the Way on their debut EP “A Different Destiny.” This version features Matthew Fullen on piano and Derrick Lin on Double Bass along with vocalist Cait Lin. 《小星》一曲的创作灵感，来自于约三千年前集结成册的《诗经》。 其词意在诉说一位传信的兵官，执行公务所需，常穿梭于山麓之间、披星戴月，引发他省思生命的意义。 此曲原版收录于中庸乐团（Zy the Way)于2020年发行的首张EP -《实命不同》。 3. Hyperbolic Time Chamber Composed and Arranged by Monique Chao 默默 Soloists: Jacob Liang - 吉他, 林纬霆 - 萨克 Conducted by Monique Chao 默默 “Hyperbolic Time Chamber” exists only in Dragon Ballz Realm (Toriyama Akira, Japan). In this chamber, gravity, oxygen and time are all different from the outer world. Training inside speeds up the warrior’s transformation into Super Saiyans to defend all from evil. This piece was written with the idea that a jazz musician’s practice session is similar to being in their own “Hyperbolic Time Chamber” so that one day they will become super jazz Saiyans. 「精神时光屋」只存在于七龙珠（鸟山明）中。在时光屋中，其中的重力，氧气与时间都与外界不同。在时光屋中训练可以加速战士成为超级赛亚人。我想爵士乐手镇日练习和时光屋的理念十分相近，都是同为期许自己能早日成为爵士赛亚人吧 r 4. Chicken On the Hill with Will Composed by Don Aliquo - Arranged by Jamey Simmons Special Guest Sue Orfield Solos: Sue Orfield - 萨克, 詹无季 Baron Jan - 爵士鼓 Conducted by 高杰 Jim Geddes Originally written by Nashville saxophonist Don Aliquo for Roger Humpreys, this version was rearranged for big band by Jamey Simmons bringing this fun and funky hard bop tune to the next dimension with rich harmony and a killer sax soli. “The Hill'' refers to the Hill District in Pittsburg where many famous musicians grew up and is reflected in this piece.
