Paul Safar and his consortium of talented musicians bring variety, energy and skill to their craft. Embracing the pop, folk,rock and jazz traditions, Paul's group presents original songs with strong vocals and improvisatory instrumentals. Paul switches between piano and acoustic guitar to accompany his voice. As a full band, he is joined by Sean Brennan who provides innovative percussion work and Mike Hatgis who lends his melodic approach to bass guitar. Lori Deskin's pure vocal harmonies and Jon Neher's sax work round out the group. Paul sings of human relationships and humans' relationship to the natural world. Classically trained, his music is "a little bit folky with a dramatic flair". Paul lives and gardens in Eugene,Oregon with his wife and two young children.
