The album "Check It Out" was produced by Todd Thompson and Craig Wasner in 1990. They assembled a choir of children aged 3 to 12 to sing the songs. There were some guest arrangers like Steve Jennings, Darwin Hammond and Andy Carlson; some guest vocalists like Laurie Wheeler, Maren Wasner, Andrew Thompson and Jessie DeVries. All of the songs are original for this record except for a couple lyrics by Charles Kingsley and Eugene Field.

The songs are about living as a child. They are about everyday things we do in the home, in school and outside.
