Also check out our other music on CDBaby, with our band called Greenhouse Effect for more trippadelic rocking good times! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/greenhouseeffect The Space Sharks' rockin' songs have been selling CDs across the US, the UK, and as far away as Togo Africa, Australia, Sweden, and Norway. From the fast and heavy "Run For Cover," to the acoustic/electric "Perfect," recording the band's 9 song debut CD has been a thrill for Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Lonnie Richard: "This has been the best time we've had rocking together. When we recorded the CD we knew we had a good take when it hit us in the gut, rather than thinking about things like 'Okay, here comes this part, and I'm going to do this thing I've worked out for hours until all the spontaneity and life have been sucked out of it." He laughs. "Instead, we went 'Yeah, this feels right!' when we had a strong take we all liked, which most often was the first or second take. Anything after that, we were kind of repeating ourselves." “The response to the music and band has been great!" says Drummer/Backing Vocalist Mike Martino. "Yeah, we definitely tried to keep that live feel, even on a slower song like 'Fools,' which is probably my favorite. It's a little slower than the other songs, tempo-wise, but it definitely has that crackling energy." Together with bassist Bob Bergeron, this power trio based in Baltimore, Maryland USA kicks into high gear. Lon adds "Bob's a melodic madman and probably the loudest bass-player I’ve ever heard! It's really a blast with the three of us rocking out; we’ve been friends since high school, so this is a dream come true. We’ve been in different bands over the years but decided to form The Space Sharks in 2009 and never looked back!” Mastered by Jonathan Wyner, "The Space Sharks" sound is crisp and big. Slap on a pair of headphones for trippy panning effects and swirling guitars. It's The Space Sharks at their best. Yeah, baby! Here's what the critics are saying: "This is feelgood summer music I really enjoyed on the very first spin. A highly recommended purchase." Christian Eric Mumford - Aural Innovations.com "It rocks hard, and it rocks with precision. All nine tracks are killer." Bill Copeland - Bill Copeland Music News Online. "Well oiled instrumental precision and finely tuned, versatile vocals." Michael Meade Editor - Tastes Like Rock Music Magazine "The emphasis on skill over preciousness will provide a welcome respite to those turned off by the overly mannered style of much of what is currently considered hip." Kevin Finn - The Noise Magazine, Boston
