The Space Sharks new album "Love Bomb" From the uptempo opening "Love Bomb," to the moody Orwellian "Black Helicopters Overhead," to the acoustic/electric "Slow Like Tar," recording the band's second album has been a thrill for The Space Sharks. "We always try to record the songs as raw as possible," says guitarist/lead vocalist Lonnie Richard, "using the first or second take to capture that initial spark and spontaneity, rather than thinking about things like ‘Okay, here comes this part, and I'm going to do this thing that I've worked out for hours until all of the life has been sucked out of it.’" He laughs. "Instead, we went for takes that hit us in the gut." The positive response to the band's first album "The Space Sharks" gave the band a creative boost. "It gave us a lot of momentum," says drummer/backing vocalist Mike Martino. "It was really cool to know that people wanted to hear more, and we really went for it."
