Nick Masullo is a songwriter who lives in the Ozarks. This CD is a collection of thoughtful and heartfelt songs. Some of them are influenced by Masullo’s experience with disability. Nick uses a wheelchair due to an aggressive form of MS. Featured are Donna and Kelly of Still on the Hill, and Emily Kaitz. Producer Kelly Mulhollan played some 20 instruments. The CD has lots of variety. There are uplifting songs, love songs, and a song about Masullo’s immigrant grandfather, which features Mulhollan playing Nick’s grandfather’s antique concertina accordion. Nick was chosen as Songwriter of the Year at the Ozark Music Awards and was the first place winner at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. He received Winfield’s Walnut Valley Festival award for Best Contemporary Folk Song. He was named Best Male Singer-Songwriter at the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards Nick has been featured nationally on “The Folk Sampler” radio show and has received radio-play from Maine to California, in Canada, and in Europe.
