"Absolutely Filthy Trax" is the debute album of Composer, Michael Teoli. Michael is an award winning Film and Theatre Composer based in Los Angeles. Before graduating from the Berklee College of Music, he worked on Howard Shore's Music Team for "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King". Since then, he has worked on the music for over 50 films. His score to the feature "41" won BEST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK at the Director's Chair Film Festival in Staten Island, NY. Teoli's first full-length musical, "Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera" premiered in Portland, OR in 2008 and has had two stints at A.R.T's Club Oberon in Boston and most recently had a reading in New York City produced by The Broadway Consortium His second musical, "CarnEvil" enjoyed a World Premier at Sacred Fools Theater in Hollywood. Michael received a Center for Cultural Innovation ARC Grant for "CarnEvil". Michael provided Music Direction, Arrangements and Additional Music for Doomsday Cabaret which won BEST MUSICAL at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival and then had it's own production at The Blank Theater in LA. Michael recently completed the scores to Warren Pemberton's feature film "Criminal Behavior" and Tommy Friedman's feature film, "Neshima". In 2013, Michael wrote music for Brendan Hunt's original play, "Absolutely Filthy" at Sacred Fools Theater in Hollywood. The show was produced by Brian Wallis and Directed by Jeremy Aldridge. The score consisted of short dubstep pieces that were very well received. Quickly requests came for a soundtrack, but since the pieces were custom written to match scenes, there wasn't enough material for an album. So Teoli worked on developing the short pieces, alowwng each piece to go where it wanted to go. Without the restrictions of needing to match the scene and strict dubstep style that the show called for, Michael was able to bring in other musical elements including rock, jazz and hip-hop, soul and electronica to fuse with the dubstep. All the while still staying in the "world" influenced by "Absolutely Filthy". We hope you enjoy the ride!!!
